Running The Gun Low Light (Pistol)
This course is designed to develop the shooter’s ability to operate effectively while moving, making decisions, and managing multiple threats under controlled stress. Students will be challenged to think, prioritize, and adapt as scenarios evolve, rather than simply execute static drills.
Emphasis is placed on how the human eye works in low light, how to detect movement in low light, how to select the best support equipment for low-light situations, and the use of weapon-mounted lights. They also participate in dry and live fire drills utilizing weapon-mounted lights and alternative light techniques.integrating movement with accurate shooting, maintaining situational awareness, and solving problems in real time. Through progressively demanding exercises, students will learn to process information, identify and address multiple threats, and maintain composure and control while under pressure.
Controlled stress is intentionally introduced to replicate realistic performance demands while remaining safe and structured. The goal is to improve decision-making, efficiency, and confidence when it matters most—bridging the gap between square-range skills and real-world application.
This class is well suited for shooters looking to move beyond fundamentals and test their ability to think and perform under dynamic conditions.
